I might go back to my barely legible scribbles later and bring you a more useful post. However, if you can't wait that long, check out these live blogging posts from Successful Blogging.
Despite a pretty bad hangover today, I want to share my highlights from the day with you, before I forget them:
- a great big snuggle with the Squishy, who is by now my favourite bloggy baby and who kept nuzzling into my bosom and kept giving me sneaky smiles, even when attached to her mum, Zoey, from Good Googs;
- seeing some photos from Danni Minogue's 40th birthday party, that weren't in a womens' magazine;
- having the courage to say hello to Annabel Candy and Katrina Chambers (from The Block), simply because I said I would;
- finally talking to Eden (we'd only ever said "Hello" and smiled at each other before this), even if I was gushing all over her, and getting a photo with her;
- pushing through my fear barriers and having a few semi-intelligent conversations with other bloggers;
- seeing the Problogger and others giving the cool, but naughty, kids in the front row (you know who you are), impatient looks, as they chatted and giggled during the unexpected visit by Tim Ferriss;
- hearing Tim Ferriss speak when he dropped in briefly in the afternoon, as a favour to Darren Rowse, the man behind Problogger - this showed me the strength of the friendships that can develop between bloggers, as well as the awesomeness of the Problogger;
- hearing Mrs Woog introduce herself as a "personal blogger" and not a "mummy blogger";
- seeing St Murphy in person - even if I didn't say hello, I did talk about him though with Madam Bipolar, aka Sawhole, who said that he and I should talk, apparently this St Murphy bloke does some awesome stuff and knows people who know people (there is even a photo of him with Danni Minogue on his blog) - be warned, Stephen, you will now be stalked;
- getting some reasonable photos with, and of, some peeps:
With Eden
With Shae
With Kristin from Wanterlust
Kate and Shae
Megan and Toushka
For some more great pics, click here. Btw, I want to learn how to take photos from this guy.
PS: No, I do not have a girl crush on Danni Minogue, I have no idea why she is even entering my life via other people at this time, but I would not mind cuddling her baby.

Thanks for coming and sharing the experience in this way, hope it was a fun day for you!
ReplyDeleteDorothy it was so nice to have a proper talk with you. And was Darren seriously giving us looks? SHIT. I kept waiting for the guy to sing "Don't Dream It's Over" because I thought he was from Crowded House but then someone said no, the Ferris brothers were from INXS.
ReplyDeleteX
Sounds like you had an awesome time, I'm so glad!
ReplyDeleteHehehe! Yes, he was… But we were all so in awe of you guys, that no-one dared to say “Shhhhhhhh!” And I know nothing about INXS, but was enlightened by a fellow blogger. Regardless, the name meant nothing to me, until they mentioned the book… which I have seen, but not read….
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I had of been there with you! Cant wait to finally catch up with you Dorothy! Not long till Bloggers Brunch! So glad you ladies had a great time even if I was incredibly jealous!
